Mons Claudianus or the Roman City was diccovered in 1823 and lies about 100 Km in the desert south El Gouna.

In this former stone quarry, granite and quartz diorite were excavated.

This high-quality material was then used for the construction of the Roman Colosseum and other temples.

During the trip to the Roman City we briefly visit a charming water spring.

Then we move on to a vantage point where you have a wonderful panoramic view of the Red Sea Mountains.

For refreshment you will enjoy food in the desert with our small private group.
